Costume National meets Murano (Venice)!!!

Qualche giorno fa ho avuto l'occasione di tornare a Murano per lavoro. Erano molti anni che non vedevo questa magnifica isola al largo di Venezia dove, da quasi mille anni, i maestri vetrai realizzano capolavori famosi in tutto il mondo.

A few days ago I had the opportunity to go to Murano to work. Since many years I had not seen this magnificent island off Venice where, for almost a thousand years, glassmakers have been creating masterpieces famous all over the world.

Hotel LaGare, Murano

Ho soggiornato per una notte all'hotel LaGare, una vecchia fornace meravigliosamente ristrutturata. All'interno la struttura ospita un museo permanente delle opere di Venini, grande designer del vetro.

I stayed for one night at the hotel LaGare, a beautifully restored old furnace. Inside the structure houses a permanent museum of works by Venini, a famous glass designer.

Con me avevo portato, nel beauty, una bella idea: tre profumi di Costume National, brand diretto dallo stilista Ennio Capasa, nel comodo formato roll-on.

I had brought with me, in my beautycase, a beautiful idea: Three scents by Costume National, a brand directed by the Italian designer Ennio Capasa in the comfortable roll-on format.

La forma a stilo è davvero comoda, sta anche in una clutch e contiene 10 ml di essenza, più che sufficiente per usarla una stagione e poi passare ad un nuovo profumo.

The rounded shape is convenient, it is also be put in a clutch and contains 10 ml of essence, more than enough to use it for a season and then move on to a new perfume.

Durante il soggiorno a Murano ho quasi sempre usato So Nude: in questo momento sono molto sensibile alle dolcezze e alla sensualità dell'ylang ylang e della rosa damascena, per non parlare del pathcouli e del sandalo.

During the day in Murano I fast always used So Nude, since in this moment Iìm very sensitive to sweetness and sensuality of ylang ylang and rose, not to mention pathcouli and sandalwood.

Scent Intense ha un animo magnetico, fatto di ibisco e gelsomino arrotondati dall'ambra: per me è un'essenza adatta a giorni in cui sono scarica di energia, o quando piove e la temperatura cala.

Scent Intense has a magnetic soul, made of hibiscus and jasmine rounded by amber: An essence suitable for me in the days when energy drops, or when it rains and the temperature cools down.

Homme lo usa mio marito, è un profumo elegante, dove emergono note frizzanti all'inizio e via via calde :)

My husband uses Homme, an elegant scent where sparkling notes emerge at the beginning and gradually warm up :)

Il flacone sembra di velluto

Al primo spruzzo: fredda come la regina delle nevi. Poi delicata, leggera, persistente, adatta a ogni occasione perchè mai sopra le righe. E come è stata realizzata? Volutamente semplice, con pochi elementi. Apre in freschezza con l'essenza di neroli e del lime verde, per scendere nei muschi e nell'assoluta di gelsomino.

Confezione molto particolare: vetro opaco bianco con scritte in tonalità. Sembra sfiorare il velluto. Alla Juliette shakesperiana Romano Ricci ha voluto dedicare la sua maison. E per Anyway ha scelto questa frase del grande poeta inglese:

“A light heart lives long”

(Un cuore leggero vive a lungo)

Attenzione, non si mangia. Anche se questo soufflé dal gradevolissimo profumo di arancia amara e tarocco invoglia molto. Donna piccola, grandi abiti. Carven torna con un profumo

La storica sede di Carven a Parigi

Alta solo 1,55 metri, sottile,  non trovava mai nulla della sua piccola taglia. Ecco perché Carmen de Tommaso, divenuta famosa poi come Madame Carven, fondò la sua maison a Parigi. Era il 1945, attorno, le macerie della guerra. 
Ma lei era tosta e cortese, veloce con le forbici e una volontà di ferro, tanto da essere in grado di pilotare un aereo.  Divenne abile ad allungare la silhouette, valorizzò il décolleté e inventò, nel 1950, il reggiseno a balconcino. Vestì donne dalla forte personalità come Edith Piaf e Michèle Morgan. Ma non creò solo abiti eleganti, nel 1946 iniziò a lanciare le sue fragranze.

Guillaume Henry, il nuovo stilista della Maison Carven

A seguire le orme artistiche di Madame, che oggi ha la veneranda età di 104 anni, è stato chiamato, nel 2009, Guillaume Henry, un designer che ama gli abiti couture, femminili, ma accessibili, da portare tutti i giorni.

Sempre nel 2009, le fragranze Carven sono state acquisite dal gruppo Jacques Bogart diretto da David Konckier. Ne è nato Carven le parfum, creato dal naso Francis Kurdjian e il cui flacone porta la firma di Thierry de Baschmakoff. A coordinare il lavoro, Guillaume Henry.

Ma che caratteristiche ha questa essenza? Racchiusa in un flacone elegante, è una fragranza di fiori molto intensa, decisamente femminile come i vestiti.  Non è pesante, non lascia scie dietro di sé, è come se Kurdjian avesse rubato al giacinto bianco, al fiore di mandarino, al gelsomino il loro cuore senza aggiungere orpelli. In un secondo momento emergono le note di fondo, calde e avvolgenti, fatte di legno di sandalo, osmanto e pathouli indonesiano.
