Esxence, The Scent of Excellence, strikes back

A Milano, dal 5 all'8 aprile 2018, nella sede di The Mall, 5mila metri quadrati espositivi in Piazza Lina Bo Bardi a Porta Nuova, torna la decima edizione di Esxence, The Scent of Excellence, manifestazione internazionale dedicata alla profumeria artistica.
Saranno oltre 200 le case madri presenti, di cui il 70% estere. Da un lato ci sono i marchi consolidati (40%), dall’altro Esxence ricopre la funzione di scouting, con il meglio dei brand emergenti.

Non solo fragranze. Per il quarto anno consecutivo l’area espositiva del salone ospiterà la speciale sezione dedicata allo skincare di nicchia Esxkin – The Excellence of Beauty, dove i brand più esclusivi a livello internazionale si distingueranno per le formule innovative.

Solo in Italia, nel 2016, la profumeria alcolica d’autore ha inciso circa il 12,5% sul totale della categoria per oltre 200 milioni di euro di fatturato (prezzi al pubblico) ovvero il 2% dei 9 miliardi di euro dei ricavi totali beauty italiano.

“Esxence ha saputo dare un’identità e una consistenza alla Profumeria Artistica internazionale diventandone il più importante punto d’incontro e incubatore di opportunità. Ha visto crescere i fatturati del settore a due cifre nei dieci anni in cui ne è stata la guida”, commenta Silvio Levi co-fondatore di Esxence.

“Abbiamo creato il culto della profumeria d’autore", spiega Maurizio Cavezzali, presidente di Equipe International e co-fondatore di Esxence. “Da questa manifestazione transita ogni anno l’85% dei brand più rilevanti. Non solo. Esxence costituisce il trampolino di lancio per gli emergenti che vogliono affermarsi”.

 Not just fragrances. For the fourth consecutive year the exhibition area will host the special section dedicated to the Eskkin niche skincare - The Excellence of Beauty, where the most exclusive international brands will stand out for their innovative formulas.

In Italy in 2016 niche perfumery accounted for about 12.5% ​​of the total category for over 200 million euros in turnover (retail prices) or 2% of the 9 billion euros of total revenues in the Italian beauty.

"Esxence has been able to give identity and consistency to the international artistic perfumery becoming its most important meeting point and incubator of opportunities. It has seen the turnover of the two-digit sector grow in the ten years when it was the guide", says Silvio Levi, co-founder of Esxence.

Costume National meets Murano (Venice)!!!

Qualche giorno fa ho avuto l'occasione di tornare a Murano per lavoro. Erano molti anni che non vedevo questa magnifica isola al largo di Venezia dove, da quasi mille anni, i maestri vetrai realizzano capolavori famosi in tutto il mondo.

A few days ago I had the opportunity to go to Murano to work. Since many years I had not seen this magnificent island off Venice where, for almost a thousand years, glassmakers have been creating masterpieces famous all over the world.

Hotel LaGare, Murano

Ho soggiornato per una notte all'hotel LaGare, una vecchia fornace meravigliosamente ristrutturata. All'interno la struttura ospita un museo permanente delle opere di Venini, grande designer del vetro.

I stayed for one night at the hotel LaGare, a beautifully restored old furnace. Inside the structure houses a permanent museum of works by Venini, a famous glass designer.

Con me avevo portato, nel beauty, una bella idea: tre profumi di Costume National, brand diretto dallo stilista Ennio Capasa, nel comodo formato roll-on.

I had brought with me, in my beautycase, a beautiful idea: Three scents by Costume National, a brand directed by the Italian designer Ennio Capasa in the comfortable roll-on format.

La forma a stilo è davvero comoda, sta anche in una clutch e contiene 10 ml di essenza, più che sufficiente per usarla una stagione e poi passare ad un nuovo profumo.

Durante il soggiorno a Murano ho quasi sempre usato So Nude: in questo momento sono molto sensibile alle dolcezze e alla sensualità dell'ylang ylang e della rosa damascena, per non parlare del pathcouli e del sandalo.

During the day in Murano I fast always used So Nude, since in this moment Iìm very sensitive to sweetness and sensuality of ylang ylang and rose, not to mention pathcouli and sandalwood.

Scent Intense ha un animo magnetico, fatto di ibisco e gelsomino arrotondati dall'ambra: per me è un'essenza adatta a giorni in cui sono scarica di energia, o quando piove e la temperatura cala.

Scent Intense has a magnetic soul, made of hibiscus and jasmine rounded by amber: An essence suitable for me in the days when energy drops, or when it rains and the temperature cools down.

Homme lo usa mio marito, è un profumo elegante, dove emergono note frizzanti all'inizio e via via calde :)

My husband uses Homme, an elegant scent where sparkling notes emerge at the beginning and gradually warm up :)

Piccoli e deliziosi i my little chloés

Non sono deliziosi? Tre piccoli flaconi da 20 ml di profumo, i my little chloés, collezione limitata di piccole fragranze firmata Chloé.

Sono tutti dedicati alla rosa: in roses de chloé viene abbinata alle fresche note di bergamotto e resa calda grazie a magnolia e muschio. E' una fragranza davvero deliziosa. Così come l'eau de parfum e l'eau de chloé.
