Aerin Hibiscus Palm, a sun kissed scent

Aerin Hibiscus Palm racchiude il profumo di un’isola tropicale baciata dal sole e immersa in una vegetazione lussureggiante. Un accordo di fiore di loto coniugato con palma di ibisco sprigiona un bouquet intenso di aromi isolani. A questo si aggiunge l'ylang, lo zenzero, abbinati al fiore di tiaré e ai petali di frangipani che creano un contrasto con il gelsomino Sambac indonesiano e l'assoluta di tuberosa. Nel fondo, vaniglia, latte di cocco ed eliotropo e un accenno di musk.

Aerin Hibiscus Palm contains the scent of a tropical island kissed by the sun and surrounded by lush vegetation. An arrangement of lotus flower conjugated with hibiscus palm releases an intense bouquet of island aromas. To this is added the ylang, the ginger with the tiare flower and the petals of frangipani that create a contrast with the Indonesian sambac jasmine and the tuberose absolute. In the background, vanilla, coconut milk and heliotrope and a hint of musk. 
Aerin Hibiscus Palm will be on sale in almost all Estée Lauder perfumeries.

The secrets behind the new Invati Advanced formula

Invati diventa più naturale (il 98% degli ingredienti è green), più efficace sui capelli che invecchiano in termini di spessore, forza, capacità di ricrescita. E diventa Invati Advanced, la nuova linea che sarà lanciata a febbraio, composta da tre prodotti, Exfoliating Shampoo, Thickening Conditioner e Scalp Revitalizer. Bellezzefelici ha chiesto a Cindy K. Angerhofer, Direttore Esecutivo della Ricerca botanica di Aveda, di raccontare qualche segreto negli studi fatti in questi ultimi anni sui capelli.

Qual è la differenza tra Invati e Invati Advanced in termini di prestazioni sui capelli?
 I nostri studi sulle consumatrici ci dicono che il 77% delle donne che ha utilizzato Invati preferiva Invati Advanced rispetto alla formula originale. Quest'ultima ha avuto un grande successo nell'aiutare a ottenere una buona capigliatura, quindi abbiamo mantenuto molti degli stessi ingredienti in Invati Advanced. Il nostro team ha apportato diversi miglioramenti dal punto di vista sensoriale, estetico dei prodotti in modo da renderli più piacevoli da usare e con maggiori effetti in termini di morbidezza. Abbiamo inoltre ottenuto miglioramenti sull'ispessimento istantaneo del fusto del capello per dare un aspetto immediato e una sensazione di capelli più pieni mentre si dovrà poi aspettare 8-12 settimane per vedere i massimi benefici sul cuoio capelluto e sui capelli.

I capelli sottili  e stressati delle persone giovani sono sono diversi dai capelli stressati e sottili di chi ha oltre 40 anni? Il nuovo Invati è più mirato al secondo caso?  
È vero che ci sono differenze tra i capelli giovani e radi e quelli più vecchi, ma molte di queste differenze sono solo una questione di grado. La densità dei capelli inizia a diminuire dopo i 30 anni e non si è vecchi allora! Le donne di ogni età usano spesso gli stessi trattamenti stressanti (lisciatura, permanente, schiariture) che possono danneggiare i capelli. Le donne più mature possono notare un maggiore diradamento, quelle più giovani possono trarre benefici incoraggianti dal massaggiare ingredienti come la curcuma, la liquirizia e il mandarino sul cuoio capelluto per sostenere la naturale vitalità cellulare.

Gli ingredienti naturali funzionano bene se abbinati alla ricerca biotecnologica. Su cosa è focalizzato il vostro team? Qual è la nuova frontiera nella scienza del capello?
Abbiamo molti progetti che si concentrano sulla valutazione degli ingredienti vegetali, specialmente quelli utilizzati nell'Ayurveda e ne studiano la chimica, l'attività biologica e i loro effetti sulle cellule della pelle e del cuoio capelluto. Stiamo cercando di capire la fisiologia naturale dei capelli dalla radice alla punta nelle diverse fasi della vita, in modo che possiamo imparare come utilizzare gli ingredienti naturali per proteggere, rinforzare e ripristinare i capelli nelle persone di tutte le età. Una delle aree che abbiamo studiato è il fenomeno della senescenza e cosa potremmo fare per proteggere le cellule dall'invecchiamento.

Quali cibi, abbinati ad uno stile di vita sano, possono contribuire a migliorare lo stato dei capelli? 
I capelli sani nascono sotto la superficie della pelle prima ancora che possiamo vederli, quindi è importante avere una dieta equilibrata per nutrire quelle radici. Non ho visto prove scientifiche su un singolo alimento che aiuta i capelli, ma una dieta povera può essere legata alla perdita dei capelli se mancano i nutrienti essenziali. Mi piace la pratica ayurvedica di una dieta equilibrata di proteine, carboidrati e grassi che provengono in gran parte dalle piante. Le noci sono una buona fonte di vitamine, minerali e grassi salutari, e molti dei super-alimenti sono colorate centrali elettriche antiossidanti, quindi sempre un'ottima scelta.Poiché lo stress è spesso associato alla perdita dei capelli, consiglierei uno stile di vita che include anche la meditazione e altre forme di gestione dello stress attraverso attività fisiche e mentali che ci permettono di abbandonare intenzionalmente le nostre preoccupazioni e di prenderci cura di noi stesse. Questo può portare più calma nelle ore di veglia, ma può anche favorire un sonno migliore, il tempo durante il quale i nostri corpi costruiscono e si riparano.

What's the difference between Invati and Invati Advanced in terms of performance on hair?
Our consumer studies tell us that 77% of women who used Invati preferred Invati Advanced over the original formula. The original Invati formula has been highly successful in helping our guests maintain their hair, so we kept many of the same ingredients in Invati Advanced. Our formulation team made several improvements to the aesthetics of the system, creating more body for each product that makes them more pleasurable to use, and also provides more conditioning to the hair for better performance. We have also enhanced the instant thickening of the hair shaft to give immediate look and experience of thicker, fuller hair while waiting the 8-12 weeks for maximum benefits to scalp and hair. 

Young, stressed, thin hair is different from aging, stressed, thin, hair? Is the new Invati better targeted to the second case?
It is true that there are differences between young, thinning hair and older thinning hair, but many of these differences are just a matter of degree. Hair density starts to decrease in the 30s (not old!), and women of all ages use many of the same hair treatments (straightening, perming, bleaching) that can damage hair and cause loss due to breakage. More mature women may notice greater thinning, but younger women can also derive invigorating benefits from massaging ingredients like turmeric, licorice and tangerine into their scalp to support the natural cellular vitality.

Natural ingredients work well if coupled with biotech research. What is your team focused on? What's the new frontier in the hair science?
We have many active projects that focus on evaluation of plant ingredients in our laboratories, especially those used in Ayurveda, and study their chemistry, biological activity, and their effects on cells of the skin and scalp. We are looking to understand the natural physiology of hair from root to tip, at different life stages, so we can learn how to use natural ingredients to protect, reinforce and restore hair for people of all ages and all hair types. One of the areas we have been investigating is the phenomenon of cellular senescence – a state in which aging hair cells stop growing – and what we might do to protect cells from senescence.

What kind of healthy/super food and lifestyle could help improve one's hair?
Healthy hair is born beneath the skin surface before we can even see it, so it is important to eat a healthy diet to nourish those roots. I have not seen scientific evidence for a single food helping hair, but a poor diet can be tied to hair loss if one is missing essential nutrients. I would advocate the Ayurvedic practice of a balanced diet of proteins, carbohydrates and fats that come largely from plants. Nuts are a good source of vitamins, minerals and healthy fats, and many of the popular superfoods are brightly colored antioxidant powerhouses – always a good thing.
As stress is often associated with hair loss, a beneficial lifestyle will also include meditation and other forms of stress management through physical and mental activities that allow us to intentionally let go of our worries and cares for a time. This can bring more calm to our waking hours, but may also promote better sleep, the time during which our bodies build and repair.

Estée Lauder ha appena inaugurato la prima Beauty Boutique dell'Europa occidentale nella centralissima via Dante, 7 a Milano.
Tre i servizi su misura:
- Come trovare il fondotinta perfetto grazie alla tecnologia e la possibilità di provarlo a casa;

Una linea facile da usare, a metà fra trattamento e makeup, per avere in 5 minuti un viso luminoso: è Genuine Glow di Estée Lauder. Leggera, a base di estratti vegetali, vitamine, acido ialuronico, non contiene olii ed è stata pensata per le Millennials, io la trovo utile a tutte le età quando non si vuole passare mezz'ora davanti allo specchio per un makeup completo. Si parte da balsamo idratante che lavora da primer (chi ha qualche anno in più dovrebbe usare un siero prima), si illuminano occhi e zigomi con Eyelighting Creme, un tocco di rosso su guance e labbra col blush e per avere una bocca glossy, il Lip Tint :)))

An easy-to-use line, halfway between treatment and makeup, to get in 5 minutes a glowing skin: It is Genuine Glow by Estée Lauder. Light, based on plant extracts, vitamins, hyaluronic acid, it contains no oils and is designed for Millennials, though I find it suitable to all ages when you do not want to spend half an hour in front of the mirror for a complete makeup. You start with with the moisturizing balm that works as a primer (who has a few more years should use a serum before), then lighten your eyes and cheekbones with Eyelighting Creme, a touch of red on cheeks and lips with the colored blush and if you want a glossy mouth, Lip Tint is just perfect :)))

Estée Lauder, summer glow shades... :)))

Una palette adatta al viso dolcemente colorito dal sole, ricca di sfumature oro, bronzo e di un delicato blu petrolio a contrasto. Nuance molto nel mood newyorkese... Le propone Estée Lauder nella sua Eyshadow Palette. Fa parte della linea Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Collection. Le polveri sono molto morbide e i colori saturi anche quelli chiari. Il makeup resta perfetto per diverse ore.

Sulle labbra, lo stick doppio (rossetto da un lato, gloss dall'altro)  Lip and Cheek Summer Glow nella nuance Fuchsia Lights. E' ricco di olii nutrienti e sostanze emollienti. Lo trovo molto comodo, dal finish luminoso e molto idratante...
Mi ha stupito Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Foam: non credevo che questa crema delicata, che fra le mani bagnate diventa una morbida schiuma, pulisse così bene anche il makeup waterproof degli occhi. Invece esegue un lavoro perfetto. E grazie a minerali, camomilla e lavanda, lavora in maniera molto delicata anche sulla pelle sensibile come la mia lasciandola morbidissima e pulita :)))

A palette perfect for the light tanned skin, rich in golden and bronze shades, a delicate contrasting blue oil. Nuance much in the NY mood... That's the Estée Lauder Eyshadow Palette from the Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Collection. Powders are very soft and colors intense even the light ones. The makeup lasts perfect for several hours. 
On the lips, the double-stick (lipstick on the one hand, gloss on the other) Lip and Cheek Summer Glow in the shade Fuchsia Lights. It's nourishing and rich in emollient oils and has a glossy finish.... I did not think that Advanced Micro Night Cleansing Foam could cleanse so well from waterproof makeup... this delicate cream between wet hands becomes a soft foam. And thanks to minerals, chamomile and lavender, it works in a very gentle way even on sensitive skin like mine, leaving it soft and clean :)))

So delicate on skin, it cleanses well also waterproof makeup :)))
