iCare, makeup senza parabeni :)

Una linea di makeup ricca di antiossidanti e senza parabeni. Semplice nel packaging, efficace nell'uso. Ho provato per oltre un mese i prodotti di iCare che vedete nelle foto. Sono distribuiti da Sirpea. L'ombretto ha una polvere morbida e satinata, contiene olio di germe di grano e vitamina E. L'ho usato sulle palpebre dopo il primer: è facilissimo da stendere, ha una resa perfetta per molte ore. Questo rosa si sposa bene con le pelli chiare, è luminoso, ma non aggressivo.

A makeup line rich in antioxidants and paraben-free. Simple packaging, effective use. I have tried for over a month iCare products that you see in the photos. They are distributed by Sirpea. The eyeshadow has a soft and silky powder, contains wheat germ oil and vitamin E. I have used it on my eyelids after the primer, it is easy to apply, has a perfect performance for many hours. This pink goes well with light skin, it's bright but not aggressive. 

Il gloss è in realtà un rossetto. Ha la stessa tonalità dell'ombretto, con una resa glossy. Idrata bene, grazie all'olio di germe di grano, non sbava e dura molto. Ottimo da borsetta per ogni evenienza, sta bene con molti outfit.

The gloss is in reality a lipstick. It has the same eyeshadow tone, but it's glossy. It moisturizes well, thanks to wheat germ oil, it does not smudge and lasts much. Great in handbag for every eventuality, it goes well with many outfits.

Il rossetto è molto scrivente e ha un finish semi-mat. Preparo prima le labbra con una matita, poi alcuni tocchi leggeri di rossetto, per evitare l'effetto neon... Così si mette in risalto la bocca con un risultato bon ton delizioso. Il colore è molto bello ha un effetto di fragola naturale sul viso.

The lipstick is very writing and has a semi-matte finish. I prepare the lips before with a pencil, then put some light touches of lipstick to avoid the neon effect... So it brings out your mouth with a delicious bon ton result. The color is awesome to has on the face a natural strawberry effect.

 

Quando ho visto la matita, ho sorriso: è legno vero, non lo vedevo più da tempo. E si tempera bene senza che salti la mina. Cera d'api, candelilla, vitamina E la rendono morbida (ma non troppo, per fortuna) e scorrevole. I pigmenti resistono ore.

When I saw the pencil, I smiled: It is real wood, I've not seen it since a long time. You can temper it well without jumping the mine. Beeswax, candelilla , vitamin E make it soft  - but not too much, thankfully- and well sliding. The pigments are resistant.

Piccoli e deliziosi i my little chloés

Non sono deliziosi? Tre piccoli flaconi da 20 ml di profumo, i my little chloés, collezione limitata di piccole fragranze firmata Chloé.

Sono tutti dedicati alla rosa: in roses de chloé viene abbinata alle fresche note di bergamotto e resa calda grazie a magnolia e muschio. E' una fragranza davvero deliziosa. Così come l'eau de parfum e l'eau de chloé.

Una crema d'argento contro la cellulite :)

Tutti gli anni la considerazione: wow, è arrivato il bel tempo, mi spoglio, finalmente. Tutti gli anni la domanda: ok, mi spoglio, ma a che punto è la mia cellulite? Perchè, anche se sono magra, la cellulite... c'è. Si può cancellarla definitivamente? La vedo dura, anzi durissima. Si può senza dubbio combatterla in due modi, dall'esterno con un una buona crema, dall'interno con un'alimentazione ricca di fibre e acqua. Una buona tazza di the verde biologico senza conservanti la sera prima di andare a dormire aiuta.

Negli ultimi tempi sto provando un prodotto molto interessante. E' il fango anticellulite di Codigen, una crema dal bel color argentato, molto leggera per essere un fango, priva della profumazione poco gradevole che di solito accompagna questi prodotti. Si spalma molto facilmente e si lascia a riposo per 15 minuti, poi si sciacqua.

I've been trying for some time a very interesting product. It's the anti-cellulite mud of Codigen, a cream with a beautiful silver color, very light for a mud, without the unpleasant scent that usually accompanies these products. It spreads very easily and has to rest for 15 minutes, then you have to rinse.

Lascia una pelle decisamente morbida e vellutata. Fra gli attivi vi sono alghe (idratanti), sorbo (favorisce la microcircolazione), vitamine e nicotinate (aumentano la circolazione sanguigna). Nei primi dieci giorni è consigliabile usare il fango un giorno sì e uno no, in seguito due volte la settimana.

It leaves a skin soft and velvety. Among the actives there are algae (moisturizing), mountain ash (promotes microcirculation), vitamins (increase blood circulation). In the first ten days it is recommended to use the mud one day and go off, later twice a week.

Funziona? Sì, se si lavora con metodo. Bisogna insistere. E mangiar bene, oltre a muoversi con regolarità. Altrimenti non si vedranno risultati.

Una linea verde di prodotti, rispettosa della pelle, socialmente responsabile. Le palette sono davvero deliziose: la texture è morbida, le polveri restano compatte, sulla pelle colorano bene e durano perfette tutto il giorno. Possono essere usate anche wet. Però, secondo me, scrivono bene anche da asciutte. Ho provato le tonalità scure come liner e non è stato necessario bagnare il pennello. Per l'estate si possono alternare le nuance naturali (foto 1), magari messe in evidenza con una semplice ma efficace linea di matita scura, con quelle più fredde e glamour del viola e del rosa.

The eyeshadows are really lovely: The texture is soft, powders are compact, they color well and last all day long. Can also be used wet. But, in my opinion, they write well even dry. I tried the dark shades as a liner and it was not necessary to wet the brush. In the summer you can switch between natural shades (photo 1), maybe highlighted with a simple but effective line of dark pencil, with the coldest and glamor ones of purple and pink.

Carinissima la terra: ho usato la nuance n° 20, basta davvero una passata molto leggera di pennellone per dorare il viso come se fossi stata un weekend al mare. Le polveri sono micronizzate, extra compatte, possono essere usate bene come fard. Non pizzicano, fatto importante per chi, come me, ha la pelle piuttosto reattiva.

Very cute the earth: I used the shade No. 20, a really light touch of brush is enough to color the face as if I had been a weekend at the beach. Molto molto idratanti rossetto & gloss. Il primo, nella nuance 10, ha una tonalità che sta bene con un makeup occhi deciso e può essere usato all day long. Il secondo, nella nuance 40 Metropolitan, regala un finish molto glossy alle labbra. Un bel punto luce nutriente.
Primaverili le mani, con due tonalità diverse di rosa: la n° 40 per un look naturale, la n° 80 un po' più trendy. Gli smalti di Vagheggi sono facili da stendere. Consiglio una buona base, due passate veloci e un top coat sigillante per far emergere bene il colore e aiutarlo a durare (anche alle tastiere dei pc!).  Il tempo di asciugatura è buono.

Very very moisturizing lipstick & lip gloss. The first, in the shade 10, has a color that goes well with a decided eye makeup and can be used all day long. The second, in the shade 40 Metropolitan, gives a very glossy finish to the lips. A nice light point.

Spring hands with two different shades of pink: The No. 40 for a natural look, the No. 80 a little more trendy. The nail polishes of Vagheggi are easy to apply. Please use a good base, two coats and a top coat to bring out the color well and help it last, protecting the nails from on the keyboard of the PC!. The drying time is good.

Qual è il fondotinta ideale?

Da qualche tempo lo stress prolungato sta avendo ricadute anche sulla mia pelle del viso, con discromie, arrossamenti, irritazioni. Sto cercando di risolvere il problema  con una maggiore attenzione alla qualità del cibo e prodotti che mi aiutino a rendere meno evidenti questi difetti. Quando ho cominciato a usare Vichy Idéal (Vichy fa parte del colosso L'Oréal) mi aspettano una famiglia di fondotinta in linea col  mercato: superleggeri e quasi trasparenti. Invece ho scoperto che sono sì leggeri, ma coprono bene le imperfezioni. Inoltre sono senza parabeni e hano un filtro Uv importante (da 20 a 25).

For some time, prolonged stress is having repercussions on my skin with discoloration, redness, irritation. I'm trying to solve the problem with a greater attention to the quality of the food and good products. When I started using Vichy Idéal ( Vichy is a brand of the giant L'Oréal ), I expectd a family foundation in line with the market: Super light and almost transparent. Instead, I discovered that they are lightweight, but cover imperfections well. Besides, these products are without parabens and have a good Uv protection (20+ to 25+).

Ho fatto un esperimento: stendere col pennello il fondotinta fluido nella nuance 35 Sable Rosé che credevo scura per la mia carnagione pallida. Invece devo aver preso sole in questo periodo e ho scoperto che la tonalità (nella prima foto) è perfetta e ha creato un bel viso luminoso. Ma non mi sono fermata qui. Ho passato un velo di terra abbronzante (nuance unica, sempre foto 1) col pennello per opacizzare la zona T colpita dallo stress. Le polveri sono molto compatte e non creano irritazioni neanche alle pelli reattive come la mia. Molto bello il punto di luce che donano, una leggera doratura da città molto bon ton :)

I did an experiment: I applied the liquid foundation in the shade 35 Sable Rosé with a brush. I thought it dark for my pale complexion. Being a little suntanned I discovered that the shade - in the first picture - is perfect and has created quite a bright face. But I did not stop here. I put a hint of bronzer  - an only shade only, still photo 1 - with a brush to dull the T-zone affected by stress. The powders are very compact and do not cause irritation even to reactive skins like mine. I got a very nice glowing skin :)

Il fondotinta in crema, invece (foto 2), contiene acido ialuronico e glicerina per idratare bene le pelli secche. L'ho usato nei giorni scorsi, quando spirava a Milano un vento insistente e freddino. Mi sono trovata bene tutto il giorno, considerando che mi trucco la mattina presto e tolgo il make up poco prima di mezzanotte. Mi è piaciuto molto il fondotinta compatto (nuance 2 Medium, foto 2), con polveri iperleggere che coprono bene e opacizzano regalando un effetto naturale al viso.

The cream foundation instead (photo 2), contains hyaluronic acid and glycerin to moisturize dry skin well. I've used it a few days ago when the wind was blowing in Milan insistent and chilly. I was fine all day long. I really liked the compact foundation  - shade 2 Medium, photo 2-, with the very light dust covering well, dulling and giving a natural effect to the face.

Particolare il roll-on luce pura trasparente (foto 3). E' un liquido che dona luce alle zone in evidenza del viso. forse non avrei dovuto, ma ho provato ad usarlo come contorno occhi: non copre le occhiaie, ma ha un effetto riflettente della luce che maschera piuttosto bene le aree bluastre. Ad essere sincera, avrei forse preferito la versione airless piuttosto che roll-on, perché non sempre mi esce la giusta quantità di prodotto.

Particular the transparent pure light roll-on (photo 3). It's a liquid that highlights the evident areas of the face. Maybe I should not, but I tried to use it under the eyes: It does not cover dark circles, but it has a reflective effect of light that masks rather well the bluish areas. To be honest, I would have preferred the airless  version rather than roll-on, because it does not always come out the right amount of product.

Color, color, color! Dal Brasile, OPI!

Sono proprio così: coloratissimi! Questi smalti fano parte della Brazilian Collection di Opi, brand americano che fa parte del colosso della bellezza Coty. Dodici nuove nuance che vanno dalle tonalità calde della terra, all'arancio, al rosso fuoco. Non manca un delizioso verde foresta.

They are just that: Colorful! These nail polishes are part of the Brazilian Collection by Opi, an American brand of  the beauty giant Coty. Twelve new shades ranging from warm earth tones, orange, red. There's also a lovely green forest.

Ma come sono sulle unghie? Per ottenere un colore pieno e lucido, come lo vedete nelle foto, è importante usare una buona base, due passate di smalto (anche una andrebbe bene con le tonalità più forti) e un bel top coat glossy. Altrimenti si rischia si diluire l'effetto cromatico.

But how are they on the nails? To obtain a full, glossy color, as you see in the pics, it is important to use a good base, two coats (just one would be fine with stronger tones) and a nice top coat. Otherwise you risk to dilute the color effect.

Ho fatto un esperimento: usare una base bianca al posto delle classiche trasparenti, come facevano i pittori rinascimentali quando preparavano gli affreschi. Risultato incredibile: il colore esplode in tutta la sua luminosità :)

S.O.S. stress, arriva Kiehl's!

Questa mattina, alla fermata di Loreto, metropolitana di Milano, sono saliti un paio di piedi senza calze. Erano rossi, gonfi, si intravvedevano alcune macchie. Mi aspettavo che appartenessero ad un'anziana signora. Ho sollevato lo sguardo per scoprire che si trattava di una ragazza, forse neanche ventenne, aveva viso e braccia bruciati dal sole. Forse non sapeva che scottature come queste vengono registrate dalla pelle per tutta la vita con l'effetto di invecchiare velocemente e di favorire la comparsa di nei pericolosi. Un errore del genere l'ho fatto anch'io da ragazzina e oggi ne pago le conseguenze, ahimé.

A differenza di dieci anni fa, adesso la scienza ha messo a punto prodotti che aiutano a ridurre lo stress cui la pelle è sottoposta ogni giorno a tutte le età, che va dalla vita frenetica, ad uno scarso riposo, al fumo, al sole preso male. Kiehl's, per esempio, un brand americano nato da una farmacia di NewYork (oggi fa parte del colosso L'Oréal), ha lanciato due prodotti complementari con questo scopo.

Unlike ten years ago, now science has developed products that help reduce stress when the skin is exposed every day to all ages, ranging from busy life with little rest, smoking, staying in the sun in a wrong way. Kiehl's, for example, an American brand born from a pharmacy in New York (now part of the giant L'Oréal), has launched two complementary products with this purpose.
  
Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate è un siero bianco leggero, quasi secco, con un concentrato di vitamina C pura al 10,5% (dose elevata e in formula stabile). Si sente quasi un profumo agrumato. Sulla pelle può pizzicare un po' all'inizio (qualche secondo), ha subito un effetto lifting e illuminante, sembra riattivare la circolazione.

Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate is a white and light serum, almost dry, with a concentration of pure vitamin C to 10.5% (high dose and stable formula). You almost smell a citrus scent. On the skin it can pinch a bit  at the beginning (a few seconds), it has a immediate lifting and illuminating effect, it seems as if stimulates the circulation.

Midnight Recovery Concentrate è invece una miscela di dieci estratti di origine vegetale e oli essenziali che va dosata con l'apposita pipetta. L'ho usata la sera per oltre un mese su viso e collo massaggiando bene per reidratare la pelle che in questo periodo, complice il vento, è più secca e sensibile. Contiene enotera (ricca di Omega 6, favorisce la luminosità), squalano (olio ricavato dalle olive, ha funzione idratante) e olio di lavanda (lenitivo).

Midnight Recovery Concentrate is instead a mixture of ten herbal extracts and essential oils. I used it for over a month in the evening on face and neck, massaging well to rehydrate my skin that in this period, because of the wind, is dry and sensitive. It contains evening primrose oil (rich in omega-6 , promotes brightness), squalane oil (produced from olives, has a moisturizing effect) and lavender oil (soothing).

Abbinando i due prodotti, gli effetti positivi su viso e collo sono evidenti. Kiehl's suggerisce, la sera, di usare il siero prima e l'olio dopo (solo 3 gocce) per potenziare l'efficacia. E ha ragione, i risultati migliorano. Ma anche solo alternarli con ritmo giorno (siero)-notte (olio) fa bene alla pelle.

By combining the two products, the positive effects are evident on face and neck. Kiehl's suggests to use in the evening the serum before and after the oil (only 3 drops) to enhance the effectiveness. Ok, the results are better. But even alternating them with serum (day) and oil (night) is good for your skin.

Isodense, la crema per la festa della mamma :)

Una delle ultime volte che ho visto mia mamma, mi ha detto: "Da quando uso creme per la pelle si stanno moltiplicando le rughe...". Immagino scherzasse (non lo sa fare molto bene). Ha sempre avuto un viso molto fresco, grazie anche al fatto che non prende mai sole. Ma non lo protegge con creme, secondo una mentalità di vecchio stampo. E se fino ad ora pensava che fossero piacevoli ma inutili, a 74 anni sta cambiando idea davanti alla marea di linee, rughe e cedimenti che da qualche tempo si sono moltiplicati.

Temevo che, come al solito, usasse le creme per ammorbidirsi le mani. Invece si è fatta massaggiare il viso col siero prima, la crema poi e quindi il contorno occhi. Due volte al giorno dopo una bella pulizia.

Si tratta creme rosate, molto leggere, a rapido assorbimento, che vengono dalla ricerca biotecnologica. Contengono peptidi biomimetici, molecole che mimano l'azione di alcune importanti proteine della pelle giovane. E' presente anche un complesso brevettato, fatto non così frequente nelle creme, perché i brevetti costano.

These creams are rosy, very light, fast absorbing, coming from the biotech research. They contain biomimetic peptides, molecules that mimic the action of some important skin proteins in the young people. There's also a patented complex, not so frequent in creams, because patents cost.

Quale è stato l'effetto su mia mamma? Dal punto di vista sensoriale ottimo ("Mi sento fresca e tonica", ha detto, chiedendomi se le potevo lasciare le creme). Il contorno occhi ha lavorato bene su borse e occhiaie, il siero, con forte azione liftante, ha migliorato l'aspetto generale, aiutato poi dall'idratazione della crema. Chiaro che un vasetto non può fare miracoli e togliere 20-30 anni. Ma dare l'idea di un viso più luminoso e sano sì.

Ve la ricordate la famosa pubblicità di Jerry Hall in abito-sirena color argento sulle dune di sabbia accanto al profumo Angel? Ha fatto storia. Oggi sua figlia, Georgia May Jagger, 22 anni, sarà la nuova icona di Angel a partire dal prossimo primo luglio.

Ma com'è questo profumo? Thierry Mugler non ama svelarne la piramide olfattiva, offre comunque qualche indicazione: un'apertura con bergamotto, il cuore di frutti rossi, il fondo caldo del patchouli. Secondo me è un'essenza avvolgente ma dotata di una certa leggerezza, molto attuale.

But how is this fragrance? Thierry Mugler does not like to reveal the olfactory pyramid, however, he provides some hints: An opening with bergamot, a heart of red fruits, the bottom with the warm patchouli. I think it is a charming but light scent :)

Fresca, leggera, piccante: Acqua di Parma

Fresco come una brezza leggera, poi si scalda, poi torna fresco. Morbido e rilassante, con qualche tocco pungente. E' Ginepro di Sardegna, la nuova essenza di Acqua di Parma (un marchio del colosso Lvmh). Lo trovo decisamente adatto a queste giornate di tarda primavera, rimanda all'azzurro del cielo di Sardegna, al bianco lucente delle spiaggie di quest'isola meravigliosa decantata da Grazia Deledda.

Fresh as a gentle breeze, it warms up, then comes back fresh. Soft and relaxing, with a pungent touch. It's Juniper of Sardinia, the new fragrance by Acqua di Parma  - a trademark of the giant LVMH -. I find it highly suitable in these days of late spring, it reminds me of the blue sky of Sardinia, of the gleaming white beaches of this wonderful isle praised by the writer Grazia Deledda.

Anche la piramide olfattiva è particolare. Apre con bergamotto, pepe, pimento, noce moscata, ha un cuore di salvia officinale, ginepro (di Sardegna!) e cipresso. Alla base, il calore del cedro di Virginia. Il lato piccante (ma non troppo, davvero) del profumo è dato proprio dal ginepro, bacca mediterranea che cresce, in diverse varietà, in Sardegna.

Even the olfactory pyramid is special. It opens with bergamot, pepper, nutmeg, has a heart of sage, juniper - of  Sardinia! -  and cypress. At the base, the heat of Virginia cedar. The spicy side  - but not too much, really - is given by the scent of juniper, a Mediterranean berry that grows in several varieties in Sardinia.

Milano si veste di 5. Il nuovo Chanel N°5

Un enorme 5 in largo Cairoli a Milano. Resterà fino all'11 maggio per celebrare il numero portafortuna di Gabrielle Chanel. Nonché il nome del profumo che ha reso la maison famosa in tutto il mondo, firmato, nel 1921, da Ernest Beaux.

A huge 5 in the heart of Milan. It will remain until May 11th to celebrate the lucky number of Gabrielle Chanel. And the name of the perfume, created in 1921 by Ernest Beaux, that made the fashion house famous in the world.

Nel 2008 l'essenza diventa Eau Premiere, interpretata da Jacques Polge, naso di Chanel. Nel renderla più contemporanea, le regala una nota di dolcezza, secondo me. Quest'essenza è meno sofisticata del classico N°5, ha un cuore più caldo e fiorito grazie a ylang-ylang, assoluto di gelsomino e rosa di maggio. Ma resta sempre, e questo è incontestabile, un N°5.

In 2008, the essence becomes Eau Premiere, revisited by Jacques Polge, Chanel's nose. To make it more contemporary he gives it a hint of sweetness, in my opinion. This essence is less sophisticated than the classic No. 5, it has a warmer and flourished heart thanks to ylang-ylang, jasmine absolute and May rose. But it still remains, and this is indisputable, a No.5. 

Un super-classico reinterpretato!

Collistar, L'Oréal e le maschere di bellezza

Che cosa potrebbero mai avere in comune Collistar, brand 100% italiano del beauty e il colosso francese L'Oréal? La risposta è: le maschere di bellezza. Una banalità? Nient'affatto. Perché questo prodotto, nel 2013, valeva, nell'Europa occidentale, 422 milioni di dollari contro l'1,8 miliardi di dollari della sola Cina. Quindi le potenzialità di crescita, anche in Italia, potrebbero essere notevoli.
Ecco perché L'Oréal, agli inizi di aprile, ha acquisito, per 636 milioni di euro, il gruppo cinese Magic Holdings International che ha in portafoglio il marchio MG, specializzato in maschere di bellezza: ne produce ben 167 di diverso tipo, fra paper-peel (a strappo) e a base di fango. Adesso bisognerà attendere i tempi di L'Oréal per veder sbarcare MG in Europa.

What could have in common Collistar, 100% Italian brand of beauty and the French giant L'Oréal? The answer is, the beauty masks. A banality? Not at all. Because this product was worth, last year, 422 million dollars in Western Europe against 1,8 billion dollars of China alone. So the potential for growth, even in Italy, could be high.
That's why L'Oréal, in early April, has acquired for 636 million euros the Chinese group Magic Holdings International, which holds the MG brand, specialized in beauty masks. It produces 167  different types, including paper-peel and base-mud ones. Now we have to wait for distribution of MG in Europe. 

Intanto, però, Collistar propone, per la bella stagione, ben cinque maschere veloci da 15 minuti a base di attivi naturali di origine italiana. Infatti la collezione fa parte della linea 2014 Ti Amo Italia. Che cos'hanno in comune queste maschere?
Sono creme bianche, dalla consistenza medio-leggera, non hanno forti profumazioni. Si stendono bene con le mani sul viso e, visto che (urrà!!!) non creano una patina da sepolcri imbiancati, possono essere lasciate riposare sul viso ben oltre i 15 minuti canonici. Suggerisco infatti di metterle la sera dopo aver pulito bene la pelle, fino alla mattina seguente. Vedrete i risultati :)
